Biography
Tereza Silva Dixon was born in Germiston, South Africa. In her early years, she drew and painted, enjoying both the practical aspects of making art and participating in exhibitions. She enrolled at Unisa in 2019 and is currently completing her final year of a Bachelor of Visual Arts degree. Tereza has explored the mediums of oil painting, drawing, collage, printmaking and sculpture in her artworks. Through exploration, she is broadening her visual art experience.
Dixon regards the process of making an artwork as an opportunity for growth that is much more significant than the final result. She draws inspiration from her daily life, and is moved by connection and strong bonds with her family and friends. She lives in Johannesburg.
